Friday Fragments 2-15-13

1. This is going to be a short Friday Fragments. I've been dealing with an ear infection. I haven't had one in a LONG time and boy it hurts!

2. I' m gave up Facebook for Lent and so far so good. I know I spend WAY to much time playing around of Facebook instead of doing what I need to do. You may see post on my Facebook blog page update. That's because Blogger automatically updates my blog Facebook page for me. If you haven't followed my Facebook page I'd love for you to do so. You can follow me here .

3. During my Facebook fast I've also decided to read through the Bible in 40 day's. I'm embarrassed to say that I have never read through the Bible all the way through before. I am reading along with author Margret Feinburg and you can join us! Just follow us on Twitter at #livewunderstruck and click here  We'd love for you to join us!

4. Okay I think that's it for now. I'm gonna go take some medicine for my ear and hopefully get to feeling better. I don't like having no energy! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!

The Jewel TriologyAnthology by Hallee Bridgeman

http://www.bridgemanfamily.com/hallee/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/JT_Trilogy-web-cover-med.png
About the book:
This is a collection of all three books in the Jewel Trilogy: Sapphire Ice, Emerald Fire, and (best selling) Topaz Heat! Saphire Ice-Robin’s heart is as cold as her deep blue eyes. After a terrifying childhood, she trusts neither God nor men. With kindness and faith, Tony prays for the opportunity to shatter the wall of ice around her heart. When a frigid phantom from the forgotten past threatens their future, Tony’s unshakable confidence and Robin’s new-found faith must melt the threatening maelstrom.
Emerald Fire-Green eyed Maxine fights daily to extinguish the embers of her fiery youth. Long time friend Barry’s faith in God is deeply shaken when he is suddenly widowed. One spontaneous weekend shortly after the funeral, in the most unlikely of circumstances, they elope. But catastrophe threatens to wreck the happily ever after love story neither of them ever dreamed could come true. Only trusting God can carry them through the fire. Topaz Heat-Amber eyed Sarah remembers absolutely nothing from her bloodcurdling younger years. Derrick fled a young life of crime to become a billionaire’s successful protégé. The very instant Derrick meets Sarah, the temperature starts to rise. After years of ignoring the spark between them, Sarah’s honey colored eyes finally see beyond Derrick’s violent youth. Just as they surrender to love, the patient past springs a decade old snare. Now the heat is on. Sarah and Derrick must truly live their faith to make it through.
 My thoughts:
All the books in the Jewel Trilogy will get and keep your attention from the first word. They cleverly intertwine all the elements of a well written story without compromising Christian values. I have to admit I was a little worried when I saw it was an edgy Christian romance, however Hallee gave some spice to the novel while keeping it clean and enjoyable. I love how the stories talk about living out your faith and that with God nothing is impossible. I recommend this series of novels by Hallee Bridgeman to anyone looking for a great read. I cant wait to see what she will write next.
About the Author:
Hallee Bridgeman lives with her husband and their three children in small town Kentucky. When she’s not writing Christian romance novels, she blogs about all things cooking and homemaking at Hallee the Homemaker.
Hallee started writing when her oldest child and only daughter was a baby, but a busy professional career and being the wife of a deployed soldier had her shelve her books for another time. Two more children, a cross country move, and God’s perfect timing brought the books off of the shelf to be dusted off and presented to you now.
Hallee loves coffee, campy action movies, and regular date nights with her husband. Above all else, she loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength; has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ; and relies on the presence of the Holy Spirit.  She prays her books are a blessing to you and would love to hear back from you.
