Coming Home and This Time I Mean It!

I'm back! I know, I know, I said that last time but I mean. Cross my heart and hope to die mean it. No more Wordpress for me! I hated it! It just became more complex and more of a headache every time I used it! I couldn't get it to do what I wanted  and if I tried to ask a "expert" they would help for the right amount. It got so bad that I didn't wanna right anymore. Now for me that's bad. I enjoy writing. So I've given up on using Wordpress and decided to come back to what I know and love-Blogger and writing. If you love WordPress please don't take offense, this is merely my opinion of the site.

I am gonna attempt to transfer my Wordpress blog post to blogger as well as try find out if you can have a self hosted Blogger site. If you know that either one of these can be done please let me know.

Here's what else has been going on in my life:
  • School is out for the Summer which means I am out of work for a while. I am not worried about it to much though. My husband and I have worked really hard and tried to say so that things will not be to tight this summer.
  • Not sure if I will have a job in the fall or not. With the state of Texas's' budget shortfall for next year school districts are slashing expenses like crazy. Substitute teachers are on the bottom of the employment list so who knows what will happen. I am just trying to remain calm, carry on and Trust that God's got it all under control. Easier said than done sometimes but I'm trying
  • It's been hot here in Southeast Texas. It's been 105 degrees already. Usually we don't have these kinds of temperatures till August. I have a feeling it's really gonna be a LONG HOT SUMMER.
  • We haven't had a decent amount of rain since last September. Things are very dry here. Very dry. yet the weeds n my yard still manage to grow-Go Figure!
Whew! I am so glad to be home! What's going on in your neck of the blogosphere?

I'm in Love with Technology yet again!

My husband bought me a gitf the other day. He bought me a Nook. I love it! It's so cool! Kinda weird reading a book without holding it in my hand but I'm getting over that. The Nook also had games and web access. I really like that it's light,  and I can carry it with me wherever I go. Now that I've got my Nook I don't know what to read next! What are your favorite books? What do you think I should read? Do you have a E--reader? If so I'd love to know what you think of it-the good, the bad, and the ugly. Happy Reading!

If Tomorrow Never Comes

Last Friday I got news that stopped me in my tracks. . A friend who I went to school passed away from complications during surgery. I could not believe it. I had know Trent all my life. We were were in every class together from kindergarten to high school.  He was only 32.

This tragedy get me thinking. If I knew today was my last day here on Earth what would I do differently.?

Here are some thing that I realized. It doesn't really matter that i have the latest and best things. I can't take them with me when I go.. I've never seen a U-Hall behind a Hurst

Would my friends and loved ones really know how I feel about them? Would I let arguments or my pride keep me from telling people how I love and what the mean to me?  People don't know how much you care unless you show them
If something happened to me tomorrow would my family be taken care of? I wouldn't want my family to have to worry about my bills or debts. Nor would I want them to have to deal with planning/paying for my funeral on top of dealing with me being gone. Plan ahead

Well Trent I hope you are in a better place and thank you for reminding me that tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.Psalm 90:12
